ဟစ္ေၾကာ္ ပ်ံသန္း ရင္ေပါင္တန္းေန
ေတာငန္း တအုပ္ ၀ါဂြမ္းဆုပ္လို
လႈပ္လႈပ္ ေဖြးေဖြး ေ၀း ေ၀း ေ၀း ေပါ့
ေရးေရး မႈန္မႈန္ ၀ိုးတ၀ါး။


ေနာက္ဆံုး ေနေရာင္ ငန္းတေကာင္ဟာ
တိမ္ေမွာင္ေတြေအာက္ ငန္းအုပ္ေနာက္ကို
လမ္းေပ်ာက္ မွန္းေမွ်ုာ္ တေၾကာ္ေၾကာ္နဲ႔
ေဖာ္ေခၚသံေပး ေ၀း ေ၀း ေ၀းေပါ့
ညေရး မိႈင္းညိဳ အေမွာင္ မ်ိဳခ်ိန္
တိမ္ၿပိဳ လွ်ပ္ျပက္ ငန္း႐ိုင္းနက္ကယ္
မိုးသက္ မုန္တိုင္း ဆင္ေတာ့မယ္။

A Wild Swan

Shricking, flying, abreast
a flock of wild swans like a pack of cotton wool
moving white, far, far, far
fading out, blurring

In the last sunlight a swan
under the dark clouds behind the flight of swans
lost, hoping, crying out
crying for companions, far, far, far,
night darkens, darkness swallows
clouds break, lightning flashes, wild swan,
thunderstorm is about to rage.
